Our Story
I’ve been living and breathing photography since high school darkrooms.
What started with photo classes and an internship with a wedding photographer led me to earn an Associate of Arts in Commercial Photography from Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. From there, I worked as an industrial photographer in the aerospace sector, honing precision and attention to detail.
In the 1990s, I opened The Big Picture, a one-hour photo lab in Boulder, Colorado, helping the local community preserve memories and keep photography accessible.
But photography has always been about more than just images — it’s about business. As the industry shifted online, I dove into e-commerce certifications and digital marketing, constantly studying both traditional business practices and emerging technologies.
Today, I’ve brought it all together — photography, business, and marketing — to build The Big Picture SEO:
